Join influential citizens and policymakers from all across Florida as they gather this year in beautiful DELRAY BEACH on May 15th and 16th.

The fun begins Friday at NOON with registration and a light lunch as you prepare to jump into fast moving, skill building workshops, followed by the first plenary, which starts promptly at 2:00 pm.

Later, wear your dressiest evening beach bling out on the terrace of the Lake Worth Casino for  happy  hour, enjoying cocktails and drinks while you listen to the sounds of a steel drum band and gaze out over the ocean.

Immediately following this mixer, get ready for a fabulous delicious dinner and surprise-filled evening program certain not to disappoint, as Politicos In Paradise hits its stride.

Saturday will be another day chock full of important discussions, meetings, workshops and plenary, all helping to chart the course for the issues and solutions on which the League will act in the upcoming year.

On Saturday evening, it is time to enjoy a casual gathering at a local restaurant and meet up with old friends while making new ones. There will be fascinating speakers during and after a buffet dinner.

Council of Leaders

Held biennially during even-numbered years, Council of Leaders is a weekend-long League conference for local League leaders from all across Florida. Participants have the opportunity to receive leadership training from state Board members, local elected officials and leadership experts, as well as approve the budget for the coming fiscal year. Local League Board members are encouraged to attend Council in order to keep current with organizational changes in the state League, participate in key decision-making for the coming year, hone their leadership skills in workshops, and stay in touch with other local League leaders.

LWVF’s most recent Council of Leaders took place on April 11, 2014 in Tallahassee, Florida.
